Joe Larmour is an associate attorney in the Redding office of Prentice, Long & Epperson. He specializes in municipal law and civil litigation.
Mr. Larmour currently serves as Deputy County Counsel for Alpine County, Sierra County, Modoc County, and Trinity County. He is actively involved in providing these clients with a full range of services, and has developed an expertise in a number of areas, including code enforcement, labor/employment matters, public contracting, and marijuana related issues.
Mr. Larmour’s litigation experience has an emphasis on employment and elder/neglect matters. Mr. Larmour is experienced in litigating complex elder abuse/neglect cases, and has been successful at achieving excellent results for his clients. Mr. Larmour has handled a wide variety of labor and employment cases, both before the court and the California Labor Commissioner. At the beginning of his career, Mr. Larmour was actively involved in a number of insurance litigation defense cases. Through this work he has developed skill in assessing liability and estimating claim values, negotiating settlement and preparing the matter for trial. In addition, Mr. Larmour has extensive experience in the area of family law, and has litigated a number of intricate cases.
Mr. Larmour completed his undergraduate degree at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, California and his Juris Doctor at Cal Northern School of Law in Chico California. He is a Member of the California State Bar Association, Shasta-Trinity Counties Bar Association and the Shasta County Family Bar Association. Mr. Larmour currently serves as the Chair for the Shasta County Family Bar Association.
